I'm conservative about by non-OE accessories for camera equipment. But these batteries were cheap enough compared to Canon's own that some risk was warranted. (and my 10D is old nowadays!). ANYWAYS...very nice battery. I shot 400 images in Colorado over the Holidays and the battery is still going strong. This is better than new Canon Batteries. Bought two of them for vacation to DC. When they arrived one was dead and would not even charge, contacted the seller and they sent a new one in 3 days. Both batteries work great, hold a long charge, and took the DC heat walking the streets for 7-9 hours a day for the entire week. Only had to recharge one time for each battery all week. I purchased a Canon 40D a month ago and then bought one of these as a backup battery. After comparing the two, it seems that under similar usage patterns, this battery actually outlasts the stock Canon one. This is the first time I've experienced a 3rd party battery which lasts longer than the original. I'll be buying another one of these before I go on a summer roadtrip.Customer Review: 2x failure

The first time I received the replacement BP511 it shut down my camera. They replaced it and the second one, after charging was DOA: not a spark of life when put in the camera. I'll be springing for OEM. Clearly, from other reviews the ultralast knock-off works for some people but, after the time Ive wasted mailing back 2x and two product failures. I have a 40D Canon that we were going to be taking on a trip to Chicago and I wanted to make sure I had enough batteries to last for all day of shooting RAW photos so I ordered another. This is the second Ultralast battery I have purchased and both last just as long as the original battery that came with the camera. I was definitely recommend this battery to anyone.
