I am a photographer and needed a way to extend my USB camera cord to a laptop. This cord works excellent. It has a built in power booster that does the job. After reading, on many different forums, of many who tried different, cheap USB cables which didn't allow the remote PC to connect to the telescope, I bought this suggested TrippLite cable and had absolutely no problems connecting.

I used this to extend my Xbox Kinect -- works great! It doesn't plug into the Kinect directly (Microsoft wants you to buy their cable), but if you buy the power supply for the Kinect it will allow you to use a standard (active) USB cable to connect back to the Xbox.Customer Review: Highly Recommend Tripp Lite Extension Cable

I needed to get USB to a cabinet separate from my desk that houses three printers and a back-up hard drive. This has worked perfectly and I haven't needed to use the power-assist on the USB hub to keep all four peripherals working at once. The cost seems reasonable.
