Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Tripp Lite U026-016 USB2.0 16-Feet Certified Active Extension CableCustomer Review: Almost worked like it was supposed to Summary: 3 Stars
The purpose for me buying this product was to extend the length of my Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 web cam. After plugging it in I was getting error messages that there wasn't enough power to operate the camera. I was able to put a powered hub at the end of this extension, and plug the camera into it and everything worked fine. Not my ideal setup though.
Customer Review: The Tripp Lite only works at USB 1.0 standard Summary: 2 Stars
I wanted to use the Tripp Lite active extenion cable to move my Linksys USB wireless adapter to a differnt location in the room. First I used a standard usb 16ft cable I had download speed of 18-54Mbytes. Then I added the Tripp Lite active extenion cable, I only got 1Mbytes/sec transfer rate, which is USB 1.0 standard and not the USB 2.0 standard
Customer Review: Quality product Summary: 5 Stars
You are supposed to plug this strait into the computer but this product worked even in the middle of a 50 foot chain of all kinds of USB cables(none active other than this one). I had to quickly rig something together and this cable saved me, I will be ordering more of them(mostly so I don't have to string together some many cables next time)!
Customer Review: Works great for my usb sound card Summary: 4 Stars
I use this to attach my computer to my stereo receiver in another room. Plug one end into my computer, the other I use a Turtle beach usb sound card stick and then run a 2 ft optical cord. I couldn't find a cheap way to have an 18 ft optical connection, but this combination works great for SPDIF via optical for carrying a digital signal.
Customer Review: Perfect - does what it should Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this long USB cable to use with my laptop and shoot tethered with my Canon 5D Mark II camera. It's beautiful. Pictures go right from my camera to the computer and show up seconds after on my laptop screen. It's an awesome way to shoot in a studio environment. Plus, when you're done, the photos are already all on your computer.
