Customer Review: A cautionary tale

Sometimes, not very often, but on occasion when I'm working into the wee hours of the morning I can hear, but only faintly, the gold plated connectors denouncing the rather pedestrian connectors of all of my other USB cables. Once, my external hard drive cable, a finicky connection under the best of circumstance, was so distraught it simply ceased to function and had to be replaced with a compatriot from the Tripp cabal. Now I fear there is a conspiracy underfoot to force me to replace all of my cables.
You see, since they are backward compatible and less costly than cables you generally find in brick and mortar stores, they feel superior...but only until I marshall the courage to complete my wireless installation, then what will they do?
It's a cable. It works.

Please be VERY careful and look at the picture before ordering this cable. This is NOT what we normally view as the 'generic' USB cable. For that, look for a "USB-A to MINI-B male" cable.
The full USB-B connector (this one) is needed for some USB-connected disk drives, printers or speakers. A cable such as this may be needed because some vendors choose to save a few pennies and do not to provide a cable with the device they sell or one may need a cord longer than the standard 6 ft. or 2 meter usually supplied by the manufacturer - I needed one to connect a USB-connected speaker unit to my laptop's docking station.
This is a good A/B USB cable and there's nothing to complain. Amazon's free shipping makes the price just right.

The Tripp Lite ten-foot Certified Gold A/B Device Cable is a steal at under five bucks. Go to any electronics store and it costs at least twice as much. And with Amazon Prime, I made a few clicks on my computer, and the cable was at my front door, in two days with free shipping.
No need to get in my car, waste my time and waste gas to buy a single cable.
This is the way I shop nowadays. I buy almost everything online from Amazon.com. I've bought more than 30 items from Amazon.com in the last year alone.
In my opinion, there's no better way to shop.

PRO: Do you want to protect your precious computer equipment and files. If the answer is yes...then you should buy this product. Quiet, stable, and it works.
CON: APC needs to hire an industrial designer. All the wires are coming from the top,side, and back of it. I have it on top of a ledge so it is painful to look at. Guys at APC...all wires should be concealed from the back. I am a high end system integrator we wire and dress wires for a living (and make it work too). If this was a make-over show, I would would pass up on the subject...get my point.

I purchased the Tripp Lite gold end usb cable for my computer to printer connection. Very cheap price for this cable, but the quality is not,awesome product.I was a little skeptical about buying this, because for a 10 foot cable at a big name store would run about $26.00. Don't think twice,buy it,you will not be disappointed. I'm glad I did.
