Customer Review: Does what it says, but could be better
Summary: 4 Stars
The adapter does what it says and what I needed it to do. It takes power from a 4 pin female and transfers it to two male SATA connectors. The length between the 4 pin and each SATA is long enough to go most places you'd want it to.
I did have two gripes about this connector:
- The wires come out of the top of the SATA, not in through the sides. In my particular configuration (connecting two hard drives in a modified Dell XPS), this made it somewhat hard to close the case since the wires were near the top.
- The wires are not stick together on the two series of 5 wires. This makes things a little messier than is necessary and makes it a little harder to route cables.
Minor gripes. Other than that, good product and did what I needed it to do.
