Teen son needed this calculator for a college in the classroom Physics class. This calculator was recommended by his classmates as most of them also used this same calculator. It is working well for him, and would recommend it to others. Fast shipping by Amazon was helpful. I rec'd the TI-84 within a few days of ordering. Though I didn't get the manual that comes with it, I have figured it out and was able to find the manual online for just a few dollars. I appreciate the promptness of the delivery as it was necessary for me to complete my homework. It works just as it is suppose to and I am happy with it.Customer Review: TI-89 is much easier to use if allowed in your course.

For a College Algebra or Trigonometry class this calculator is alright. Finding the tools you need on it can be a little difficult, and entering equations takes more time and thought. The TI-89 in far easier to use, find useful applications, and solve equations with, but most courses below College Calculus don't allow its use.Customer Review: Cheaper Elsewhere

I bought this calculator for my daughter in high school at a cost of $114. Before it was shipped, my wife found it at Walmart for $79. The only diffrence was that it was not the silver edition. I believe that means that the $79 one is black instead of silver. If the color dosen't matter to you, I'd buy it from Walmart.Customer Review: TI-84 Plus Silver is GREAT

Purchased during the holidays for my high school sopohomore daughter for calc classes to replace a ten-plus-year-old TI-82. She loves it and all it does. Also recommend the "TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculator for Dummies" book I purchased along with the calculator so I could understand how it works and make use of it, too.
