Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS 2-Line Scientific CalculatorCustomer Review: Good for the price Summary: 4 Stars
I'm in college and couldn't afford buying a TI-87? or 93? (can't remember what is what) but anyways, this does the job. I'll eventually end up buying the more expensive calculators but in the mean time- I use this calculator every other day and it holds up well. I strongly recommend this product for a high school student or a beginning college student. Otherwise, if you have the extra cash, you should just invest in the more expensive texas instrument calculator to save you from having to buy two calculators!
Customer Review: I can finally do my homework without killing my brain Summary: 5 Stars
I've used calculators such as this exact one before, and it's now lost somewhere in my house. So I needed this one because doing all the simple math (such as addition or division) on paper, wastes paper and I seem to be mortal and prone to making small mistakes.
With the TI 30xIIs again I have been capable in making much fewer mistakes, and logs and natural logs are actually doable in college algebra without using log tables and such.
Best Calc I know to use and how to use.
Customer Review: Confusing Summary: 3 Stars
I recommend the Casio calculators over the Texas Instruments because I feel that these are too confusing and complex. There are two many features for the number of unorganized buttons on it. The Casio has an organized, easy to understand buttons which make your calculations easier to complete. This does, however, give you functions that would be needed for Pre-Algebra, or Algebra. If you are in high school, you will need a graphing calculator, so you should buy a TI-83 or so on.
Customer Review: OK Summary: 3 Stars
This is an ok calculator: it does the job, has a reasonably good feature set, and reasonably good display. The buttons feel cheap and don't always respond; the cover is a piece of junk and has never properly locked in place. This is an inexpensive calculator and that is reflected in the quality of the components. If you need a calculator for occasional use, this one will do fine; if you want a calculator that you will like using regularly or for many years, look elsewhere.
Customer Review: User friendly calcualtor Summary: 4 Stars
Nice to finally see TI step into the two-line solar calculator market. Very easy to use and the buttons have a solid feel. I also like the large display so you can easily see both the equation and the answer. Why did it give the TI-30 II only four stars? For the same price, there are good two-line calcs (Casio FX-115 MS for example) which include a larger library of functions (base calculations, integrals, derivates, solve function) for the same amount of money.
