I gave the product 4 stars because the picture is slightly deceiving. There are rabbit ear antennas that come out to the sides for a total width of about 7 feet or so. Please make sure you have lots of room before you purchase this item.
Other than the above, the antenna works pretty good.

To my experience. The antenna only has an approximate range of 25-30 miles. We purchased it for the purpose of camping with it. At a state park in Virginia (60 miles from Richmond) we only received a fuzzy signal on 1-2 stations. Local where we live. It is capable of receiving all the local digital & analog stations. It's definitely futuristic looking and very easy to assemble and use. I would say it's worth what I paid for it. 1/2 of what Radio Shack was selling it for!!!

Before the 'digital transition' I had an older rabbit-ears type antenna that was just o.k. After the transition the signals seemed to change and I couldn't get all the stations I did before. This item's reviews seemed pretty good, so I got it, plugged it in, and presto! Great reception! According to AntennaWeb, my home needed a multi-directional antenna, which is primarily situated outside. I really didn't want to deal with the installation process for an outdoor antenna, so I did my research, and this antenna fit the bill. Needless to say, after two minutes setting it up, my TV now picks up all digital channels in the area! I am in a 20 mile range from the local broadcasting towers, and they are (for the majority) placed in the same direction (220 degrees). Great product by Terk, very satisfied with my purchase.
