I bought this to pull in some very distant AM stations. It did work but it didn't pull in every distant AM station that I wanted to grab. In all honesty, part of the problem (or maybe the entire problem) was the radios that I was using to DX those stations. For example, one radio had limited improvement and another radio had GREAT improvement. Overall this antenna works very well, it's not too large, it looks much nicer than the Select-A-Tenna Regular Model, it has a tuning dial to tune to a specific frequency, and has improved AM reception on every radio that I tested. It's not going to pull in any AM stations that aren't broadcasted to your area so you have to have some common sense in your expectations. This antenna is passive so it will collect whatever AM signals reach it; however, if a station doesn't broadcast its signal strongly enough to reach the antenna then this antenna will not be able to collect it. It does not have the ability to reach out and grab radio waves out of the sky at will. Think of it as a radio funnel that catches radio waves that fall in it and funnels them into your radio receiver. If you're performance expectations are realistic and reasonable, you'll be satisfied with this antenna. It works very well for what it does.
