Customer Review: Low Price and Worked Perfectly for My Needs

The house we bought last year has a wireless burglar alarm. Unfortunately, one of the motion detectors is positioned so it is constantly flashing at the normal movements of those of us living in the house. This causes the batteries to wear out within three months of installation.
The motion detector takes two of these lithium batteries. When we had the system powered up the batteries in this device were replaced. Three months later the ear piercing low battery signal started and the code indicated it was that detector, again. Hoping the alarm company installed old batteries and this was a fluke, I went to a big box store and bought a two pack of the batteries for $10 plus tax and installed them.
Three months later the low battery signal started again. Realizing this was going to occur every three months I needed a source for cheap lithium batteries until I could justify the cost of a service call from the alarm company to re-situate the motion detector. I read some reviews on Amazon for an off-brand that apparently some reviewers tested and found the batteries were not fully charged, so I opted for a name brand battery. I checked this third party's web site and the bulk packaging was explained -- no individual bubble cards. The listing says the batteries are new OEM -- original equipment manufacturer -- which I took to mean new Duracell batteries, not an off-brand or knock-off since they indicated they were new Duracells -- just bundled for their purposes.
The brand new batteries I bought at the big box store with an expiration date in 2019 only performed for three months. They lasted the same length of time as the ones that just died today(1/7/10) that are from this bulk group that have a 2017 expiration date. So for my purposes these batteries work every bit as well but cost considerably less. We all have different uses for the batteries -- and if I planned to store them for an extended period I might also be annoyed by the 2017, rather than 2019 date -- but for the price difference I'm not sure it would bother me. For me to buy ten batteries at my local big box store would have cost over $54 including tax instead of just over $21. I am very happy with my purchase.
