Rechargeable Size D batteries are not cheap. For that matter even regular batteries are quite expensive. Add to the fact all baby swings require you to use size D batteries. After having to change 4 regular batteries every day, it was getting expensive. So we first bought energizer rechargeables. Those were a joke. At 2500 mAh, they seemed just regular AA rechargeables padded up to be made Size D rechargeables. After 2 days of charging those lasted a whole of 45 minutes.
Thats when I started researching and came across these wonderful batteries. On a full charge these last for at least a week if not 10 days with regular use. I normally dont review products, but this one deserved a review. Make sure you buy a compatible tenergy charger too. The $31 Energizer CHFC Family Charger was horrible too. We got BC1HU 110-240V Universal Fast Smart Charger and have been very happy!!

In the past I was buying regular batteries and just dumping them and wasting a ton of cash. I then moved up to the rechargeable and getting them from Walmart and Target. I was very disappointed in the Duracells and etc. I went online and I found these on all-battery website. Granted I did not buy these from Amazon but I have a lot of these Tenergy batteries now. These are the real thing not just AA repackaged in a bigger casing like the Duracells etc.
I have ordered over 70 AA and AAA batteries and also bought their 9 volt D and C batteries in bundles with their rapid chargers they also sale. The charger sits on my desk and has the LCD screen telling you the progress of the charging and these batteries do last. You cannot go wrong with them I use nothing but Tenergy batteries now and will probably never have to buy another rechargeable battery again.

The standard voltage is 1.5v for a 'D' size battery. It took us short while to figure out why one of our son's toys wasn't working...these Tenergy 'D' size batteries are only 1.2 volts. We purchased other Tenergy rechargeable batteries as well, but are learning that rechargeable batteries don't last as long. We've had alkaline batteries in toys for over 5 years, and they still work. Because they seem to drain much faster, I suggest carrying extra rechargeable batteries and/or the charger , then they're good. But I think we'll have to go with alkalines for other things like the smoke detectors.Customer Review: Excellent batteries

Great product. Bought these batteries to power my child's swing, chair, and mobile, and am completely satisfied with them. Bought these batteries in combination with the recharger. Because they do take about 8hrs to recharge, I recommend having twice the number of batteries you need (to power whatever you are using it for) so you always have available charged batteries. The batteries hold the charge for a decent amount of time and work great. Although the initial cost is a bit high, you will definitely save money over time using these rechargeables.Customer Review: superb

These last a very long time.
They have the best charge after abt 10 charge cycles. I did experiments with an 8 D fan and verified this.
I have an energizer charger and it does take a long time to charge, but I have been purposefully running them out. My charger takes 2 cycles to fully charge from dead. They charge til the light goes out and then I reset for another cycle to complete.
Worth the money, hands down. I'm getting 8 more. : )
