Customer Review: Protection Circuit Problematic

These cells are rated at continuous run time at 1.5C = 3.9 Amps yet they won't drive an incandescent bulb that draws 3.35 Amp. The protection circuit in the cell closest to the bulb trips and won't reset more often than not. I returned these cells and purchased other brand protected cells for my serial cell applications.
As I charge cells individually, the only reason I want cell protection is to avoid destroying the cell through overdischarge. I require that a protected cell be able to allow a start-up amperage spike of at least 2C, but 4 out of 4 Tenergy cells I tested failed absolutely in this regard.
For single cell applications, I have been happy with the unprotected Tenergy tabbed cells. I pull off the bottom tabs and triple fold the top tab to make a de-facto button contact on the top.
