Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Energizer L91BP-8 Lithium AA Photo Battery (8-Pack)Customer Review: Problem solved. Summary: 5 Stars
I thought my digital camera was broke, it had been working with alkaline batteries and then stopped. I did not realize original batteries must have been lithium(?) (they were off-brand and I couldn't find the manual). I saw these batteries at a good price for lithium (even better with the Amazon re-order subscription) so decided to make a last attempt before tossing the camera. Voila!, started up just as it was supposed to.
My order experience was a good one. A little problem signing up for the re-order program to get the $10.45 price (it initially didn't show on the order), but I got it figured out. Shipping time adequate and product was packaged well.
Customer Review: great for flash Summary: 5 Stars
nothing in the digital camera world drains the battery faster than the external flash unit for dSRL. my flash (Canon FX430) takes 4 AA batteries and requires changing perhaps every so often. since 4 AA batteries are kind of heavy to carry in my camera pack, and since the flash unit is absolutely crucial in photography, i cannot afford running out of battery on it! ever since i bought these batteries however i had the peace of mind that my flash won't die on me, period. the peace of mind allows me to take as many flash photography as i want without any mental burden. i know every time i turn it on it will be ready to go. amazing.
Customer Review: LOOONG Lasting, but when they die, they DIE Summary: 5 Stars
Even so, they last a long long time and the extra price is offset by the fact that you would be paying more to buy a comparable quantity of the other shorter-lived batteries.
However, when they die, they DIE (I have found that they don't temporarily refresh themselves like the shorter-lived batteries do, when I turn off my camera and then turn it back on after a few minutes) -- so keep an extra pair (or however many you use in that specific device) on hand for the day the inevitable happens.
And I believe that Lithium is more earth friendly -- and if I am not mistaken, these can be recycled????
Customer Review: Pay for themselves Summary: 5 Stars
I gave some of these to a friend to try, and she and her son loved them:
"The set I used in my digital camera (while I don't have an exact hour time to provide you with), lasted much longer than the
rechargable ones I am using. I can't explain it because I
didn't think they would be that different. The rechargable
ones seem to go really quickly and then I have to keep an
extra set (or two) with me when I remember. The game boy ones have lasted longer as well per Matthew."
I think they are well worth the extra price since you don't need to buy batteries as often.
Customer Review: Unbeleivable! Summary: 5 Stars
I was accustomed to changing out alkaline batteries after around 100 shots in my Canon compact digital camera. I am at 600+ with 2 of these lithium AA's and I still don't know how long they can last. Are they expensive? I would have said yes when I bought them, but as they last 6+ X longer than alkaline batteries, I would say they are an extreme value. Looking forward to seeing how they perform in remote controls, LED flashlights and other household products. Weird, sometimes it's not "less is more" but rather "more ($'s) are less ($'s)" Not often enough but true in this case.
