Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Energizer L91BP-8 Lithium AA Photo Battery (8-Pack)

Customer Review: Better than NIMH for occasional digital camera use...
Summary: 5 Stars

Last year I purchased a set of 4 Energizer Lithium batteries for future use. But when I turned on my digital camera about two months ago and again found that the NIMH batteries had discharged during non-use, I went ahead and put in a set of these batteries. I did it mainly to see how well they would do by comparison, but also because I did not have any NIMH batteries charged at the time. About 300+ pictures later (most with flash) the lithium batteries are still working well. I did not take all the pictures at the same time, but rather a few here and a few there, anywhere from 1 to about 50 over the last two months.

I do believe NIMH batteries are still the best choice when using a camera frequently and taking a lot of pictures each day. I have taken hundreds of pictures in a 2-3 days period on the same set of NIMH's. But I also believe that Ultimate Lithium batteries are worth the extra $$ for their convenience, better shelf life and not having to worry about whether they are charged when you need them. Too often I have found that NIMH batteries had discharged or lost most of the charged when I had not been using my camera.

Customer Review: "where, oh where did my photo go..."
Summary: 5 Stars

It all began with a camera. No matter what we tried it seemed to devour batteries. Alkalines, coppertops, bunnies, rechargeables, NiCads, nickle hydrides, nothing was safe.

In desperation, we tried the the high priced (about double that of a typical alkaline) Energizer E2's. They are worth every penny. Nothing less will ever again tough our electronics, digital cameras, remote controls, wireless mice, and even flashlights.

These batteries seem to last forever, particularly with digital cameras. The basic difference between the E2 lithium battery and alkalines, nicads, etc. is that the power is supplied at a steady voltage until the battery is almost completely drained. Then it drops rapidly instead of slowly dropping from the first use. Therefore, your camera has full power until it's time to replace the battery.

Sure, I'm paying twice as much for the battery but it lasts way over twice as long!

Customer Review: I don't know how long these last yet
Summary: 5 Stars

In May of 2009 I was shooting pictures for my flower club, all with the built in flash of my digital SLR. Half way through, 3 sets of regular Ni-HM rechargables were dead. Ran to the nearest store and grabbed a set of these. Stuck 4 in the camera and finished shooting. Its now January 2010, I have shot 100's of pictures on these same 4 batteries and the camera still shows full charge.

I generally shoot club or church events with this camera so it may sit for a month or two and then I shoot 100 pictures or more for some event. I don't have to think about charging any batteries ahead of time, these are in the camera along with spares in the bag. Yes they seem expensive, but to have batteries last this long and always ready to shoot is worth every dime.

Customer Review: These Batteries LAST!!
Summary: 5 Stars

With all of today's high-tech items and gadgets, regular batteries just don't cut it. These batteries, last so much longer than regular ones! They are great for ipods, handheld game units, PDAs, mp3 players, portable dvd and cd players, camcorders and especially digital cameras! With Energizer® e˛® Lithium batteries you can take up to 600 pictures, whereas with regular batteries, you would only get about 80 pictures!

Even if you only use the rechargable type batteries, its smart to keep a pack of these on hand when you are out because once that charge runs out and you can't recharge on the go, you are stuck.

I thik they are the best brand out there to put inside all our expensive toys and gadgets!

Customer Review: Great batteries for "special" purposes
Summary: 5 Stars

These lithium batteries are great. They are long lasting, lightweight and work great in freezing temperatures. Their "BEST BY" date is often ten years or more. If you have a device in a fridge or freezer or outside where it gets cold/freezing, then these are very useful since alkaline batteries will often fail in cold temperatures. They are also useful for devices that are inconvenient to change batteries, like clocks or wireless outdoor temperature or motion sensors. If you're wealthy, then you might as well use these instead of alkaline or rechargeables, but because of the relatively high cost, I only use these for "special" applications. Otherwise I use alkalines or Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable batteries.
