This is a nice external drive and works well with Windows XP or Vista. However, it does NOT work with Windows 7. If you have a computer using Windows 7 or if you plan to upgrade to Windows 7 then this is not the drive for you.Customer Review: my review

Does not come with its own power supply. Can not rely on power from CPU.
If you order ext power supply be sure to specify PADVD010U only. Can not rate product properly without correct power cable.
