You know you want to. You're thinking about it. You're reading reviews, thinking "Hey...maybe this is the one for me." You're thinking it, aren't you? Of course you are. And you should be. Because it's the best bag ever. There's room for everything, it smelled nice even right out of the plastic, and it fits very tiny people (me) and very large people (my friends). It is very comfortable, and does not squash the b00bs of either gender (this is a big deal for me since most backpacks squash them, and that makes me sad). On a daily basis i drag my laptop, a few tome-sized textbooks, an old skool (paper) notebook, absurd amount of pens, calculator, an extra battery, cell phone charger, mp3 charger, usb mouse, laptop adapter, girly stuff (brush, makeup...girl things) and i can still cram extra clothes in there if i need to. i am a happy kitten.
EDIT: Almost four years later, I still use it very frequently and I love it. Still in perfect condition, very minimal wear and tear, even the tags on the zippers are still on. Best.

This is the least expensive Notebook Backpack that I could find but it's surprisingly well made and stylish. It looks much better than its picture...MUCH better. I like the numerous zippered pockets. There's a place for everything, digital camera, cell phone, papers, books and even a mouse. I prefer taking an external USB mouse instead of using the touch pad on my Notebook. There's three nice bubble type pockets, one of which fits my optical USB mouse nicely. My big Laptop with its 15.4" wide-screen fits inside the Backpack's built-in sleeve like a glove with no room to spare. Another nice feature is the PVC coated bottom. This will protect the computer if you inadvertently set the pack down on wet ground. Most Notebook Backpacks are considerably more expensive without giving you more. The Targus CVR600 was a perfect fit for my budget. Plus it's easy on the eye with good quality and plenty of compartments. I give it my highest recommendation. I bought this to lug my 6.6lbs 15.4" Dell Inspiron 6000 to classes and labs. Note this is my first laptop backpack and i have had it for a month. It costed me $25.
Pros:
1. Good build quality, material feels durable. The bag is also double layered with a thinner nylon layer on the inside everywhere. might help with waterproofing.. not sure.
2. Tons of wellthought utility pockets, 3 external mesh pockets, multiple interior sleeves in each pocket(useful for paper sheets, mouse pad)
3. Well padded laptop sleeve with elastic velcro strap
4. Snappy zippers
5. thick strong PVC bottom
6. Comfortable if not overloaded
7. Waist strap with clip
Cons:
1. Needs a little bit of color, but still looks elegant to some people. (thats why the 4 stars)
2. The slivery targus logo on the bag, handle and zippers seems a little dull
3. After the laptop can handle about 3 inches of copies and books
Overall a good buy.

Purchased as a carryall for my computer and other electronics when travelling by plane. The quality of the nylon material is excellent. The zippers glide easily along the track using large nylon zipper pulls. The zippered openings are wide and I love the amount of pockets and compartments that this backpack houses. There are zippered pockets and separate compartments for your laptop, cords & adapters, mouse, hard drive, virtually everything you need to provide you with a mini office when on the road. There is even room enough for an extra change of clothes and a small toiletry kit. The bag easily opens up wide for inspections at the airport and so roomy that everything goes back in as easily as it came out. The padding in the bag that surrounds your laptop is sturdy and thick and provides you with a sense of security that your laptop is adequately protected. The straps are thickly padded for comfort and the bag is waterproofed to keep your computer safe from rain or spills.Customer Review: Great service from Targus, but bag has changed

I received this bag as a free replacement for an older model that had done heavy duty for four years until the zippers broke. Targus replaced it for free under their life-time warranty, which I thought was great service.
The new version is a little bit different from the original though, and changes are not for the better. The picture I think refers to the old version. The new version does not have a side pocket on one side (the one showing in the picture), only a mesh pocket. The new bag also doesn't have a key clip inside the front pocket. It also doesn't have a belt strap, but that wasn't all that useful anyway, so I don't miss it. I get the feeling that the new bag is slighly smaller than the original, but I can't say for sure. I use it as my main bag on 2-3 day trips so the extra space is valuable. Nevertheless, it is still a great bag and excellent value for the money (especially if you get it for free). Targus customer service is excellent.
