Customer Review: It Needs Some Improvement

I bought this bag for my 14.4" notebook, because I think it should be more convenient for the put-in and take-out if the bag is a little bit larger than a notebook, especially when the accessories are also filled in the bag. This is a good bag of acceptable quality at very reasonable price. It is designed with sturdy construction, durable and water-tight nylon material, and has a properly cushioned compartment for the notebook. However, there are a few points of design that let me rank it a 4-star item instead of 5.
The 2nd photo (I call it Photo A) from the left of the photo group provided by Amazon is quite attractive, as everything can be organized so neatly and beautifully. But this photo is misguiding, some reviewers (such as "Dumdummuoi") have reported the discrepancy in details. The real bag is actually without the two extra compartments for the thin file folders, it is shown as per the photo (I call it Photo B) on the right side of "Product Description From the Manufacturer" if you scroll down the product page.
According to the manufacturer's description and the illustration as per Photo A and B, the compartment with zipper next to the notebook compartment is designed for a magazine or two, but I believe most of the users would keep their accessories (mouse, battery charger, cable, etc) here so this should be the accessory compartment. If you need a place to locate your file folder, on the back side of the bag there is in fact a simple compartment for a thin file folder or a magazine (please refer to the photo I uploaded above), but it has no floppy cover or zipper to prevent rain water from entering, so when it rains you will have to be careful.
I guess Photo A shows the initial design of this bag, but later on the manufacturer modified the design to remove the 2 extra compartments, probably because: 1. the manufacturing cost for the extra compartments was high (more material and labor cost); 2. this was a design defect ... after you fill in the accessories, this compartment will become irregularly bulky, so it may not be a good idea to add one more file compartment onto it as the file folder can get bent.
In my opinion, the CDR pocket is also a design defect and it's most likely useless. If you put 3 CDRs here as shown, it will rather look odd, because such a pocket may not protect your CDRs. Besides, nowadays memory sticks are much more popular and useful than CDRs. If there must be some improvement on the design, I think this CDR pocket can be changed to one simple pocket (same as the right pocket beside the pen loops) or 2 vertical pockets to locate some little tiny items, such as a media player.
As reviewed by some other users, the D-ring and the hook should be made of metal material. It is true, because we use this bag for a notebook PC, not a notebook of paper. The plastic rings and hooks are made from high grade plastic (ABS) and I believe they are solid enough, but we should feel more comfortable if they are made of metal material.
