We use two of these to monitor our children's sleeping rooms. The Trendnet instructions give second class treatment to Mac users. In the first six months since installation, the cameras have dropped off the network a total of three times. Unplugging them and replugging them allowed them to reconnect easily. Since then, they only drop the connection about once every 4 or 5 months. Same easy fix ... unplug, replug.
We access the images of the kids rooms from any computer on our home network (laptops during naptime, desktop when working, home entertainment center when watching a movie. It's very easy to keep an eye on them wherever in the house we happen to be. Because we use a program called "Evocam" to archive timelapse videos, these cameras could also serve and security / nanny cams.
Night vision is in black & white. Daytime images are in color.
