I needed to dedicate my older laptop for the MagicJack I'd been using on my desktop, but the Ethernet port had been damaged. I found the wireless PCMCIA card to be much too slow (54Mbps) for the MagicJack to work properly. The TRENDnet card, along with a new Ethernet cable plugged into my wireless router, was a simple and inexpensive solution to get my laptop back online for my business calls.
It just plugged in and Windows XP found its own driver for it, set itself correctly to 100Mbps and within a minute or so my old laptop was back online. I also did not use the included CD. It works fine without it.
