I mainly wanted a flash drive to transfer files between home and work without having to bring my notebook all the time. This does that quickly and easily, so that is fantastic! I do wish that the software for the drive was available for Mac, if only because it would be cool to take along my browser's settings (bookmarks, etc.). I don't do a lot of transfering files but when I need to, I wanted to have enough room to do it and not cost me a lot of money. I think this is just right as far as size goes. This drive is quite zippy and very small. It plugs in and just works.
The encryption and security software are optional so you do not have to have it on your drive.
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is very easy to lose the cap.

I use this flash drive for converting bootable DVD OS installations and installing the OS from the flash drive. It is very fast, and I never have read errors during the installation process. The drive is very small and suave, but my cap totally broke after a lot of use.
