Frankly speaking I am little biased to the Transcend's Jetflash series of flash drives. They work really well and all of them have sleek designs. I have owned their 1 GB product for more than 1.5 yrs before it got lost. Now I own the 2GB one and it works as good as the previous one.Once it went inside the washing machine with my clothes. After 40 minutes of washing with detergents and warm water, the drive is still working absolutely fine without the loss of even a single data file. These are cheap but they are as good as the costly ones.Customer Review: Memory for everyone's pocket

I bought a bunch of these for Christmas stocking stuffers. My high school age grandchildren still love things in their Christmas stockings and these were a hit (at least that is what they tell me!) Grandpa getting a hit for a little over 6 bucks a piece, not bad. Carrying homework to and from school and just around the house, to their friends house, and I expect those videos and lousy music these guys listen to these days can be shared nicely with these. This drive works great... But interestingly enough, just yesterday I actually dropped it running across the road (I didn't have it secure on my keychain) and discovered I'd lost it about an hour later. I went back to retrace my steps and find it and discovered it in the road runover. the key chain clip was busted and the drive itself was scratched up, but much to my relief it worked perfectly and my information was still all there!

I've purchased two of these for the sole purpose of putting my multimedia for distribution knowing it won't come back. In other words, I submitted my short film for an extremely time-limited project. Copying to USB is not only faster, but allows you to quickly update/overwrite if mistakes are found. Because I'll never see it again, I didn't want to spend too much money. Under $10 is fair for the insurance I get in time savings.

It's fast at reading all files, and fast at writing large files, but slow at writing a large number of small ones. It took me over 1 hour to copy abt 500kB of small files.
I left a msg with techsupp on their website months ago but heard nothing. Yet, I found other users on their website with the same complaint. Not sure if other mfgrs do much better, however.
