Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Transcend 8 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS8GSDHC6E

Customer Review: Saving my data
Summary: 5 Stars

In these modern times, computers with windows & hard drives are wonderous miracles, but some of our computers crash, & since these little memory chips can remember for at least ten years, we can now save our favorite little programs, & data, that could be easily lost.
If we overload our computer & we must do recovery, that will only erase the C drive, and the memory chip is safe from recovery.
Cd's are also great for saving files, if kept in a safe place, but a scratch may destroy what you were saving.
If your computer has a place for memory chips, then great, but many have a USB port, you can get a card reader, & begin to save anything that you dont want to loose, on a little memory chip like this one.
This 8 GB Transend, was reasonably priced. They are not only good for pictures, but data also, & you have no problem to edit any files that you wish.

Customer Review: A bargain! Fast and good SD Class 6 card
Summary: 5 Stars

All I can say is WOW! We have sure come a long way in a short time. This little 8GB SDHC memory card is all one could ask for in an SDHC card. In my Nikon D80 it lets me take hundreds and hundreds of pictures. Speaking subjectively, the write speed seems to be faster than the camera's buffer, so that the card is not a bottleneck when taking a long series of continuous photos.

I bought one of these cards with the conventional packaging and one through Amazon's "hassle free" packaging. I highly recommend the latter. The conventional packaging does not give you the little plastic CF card holder, plus the bubble wrap is a cast-iron bear to remove. Buy the "hassle free" version, get the little container, and save yourself the hassle.

Two or three of these inexpensive cards, and one would have enough photo capacity for any vacation. I love the digital age!

Customer Review: Fantastic volume of storage, reasonably prices
Summary: 5 Stars

8GB is larger than the hard drive space on my college computer (from 10 years ago) and this is infinitely lighter!

I shoot semi-professional photography and my RAW image sizes are quite large (approximately 22MB). This is the perfect size to keep me shooting for a long time before having to switch out. I also have a 16GB version, which I am often hesitant to use because on a shoot, it's considered to risky to put all of your eggs in one basket. Shooting with three or four 8GB cards has been an ideal set up. The class 6 speed cards allow me to shoot unfettered of stop and "write" time.

This card holds a ton of information, costs relatively little (with the price dropping each month), and writes as fast as anything out there. I've never had any negative issues. If your, DSLR accepts HDSD cards (double check first), then you will want this card.

Customer Review: Flawless, Fast, and Affordable
Summary: 5 Stars

After using this card for over 6 months every day for photos, videos, and the occasional file transfer, this Class 6 (fastest transfer speed currently available) 8 GB SDHC card from Transcend has worked flawlessly.

I have never had one missed photo or corrupt video recording. I couldn't ask for more. And the price is tough to beat.

When it became time to purchase another SDHC card, I immediately went with this same Transcend card. I also have a more expensive SanDisk Extreme III 8 GB SDHC card. I have not noticed any difference in speed or quality. Comparing prices, the choice was easy. I went with Transcend.

This is also my first experience with Amazon.com Frustration-Free Packaging. I LOVE IT! I am an organic food eating, eco-friendly person and this new idea from Amazon.com is great. Keep it up!

Customer Review: Transcend-Flash Memory card - 8 GB, Class 6, SDHC
Summary: 5 Stars

I haven't used it yet because the Panasonic video camera I bought to use it in has been severely backordered. It would be better when ordering a camera and a card from Amazon if I would get them both at the same time. What good is it to me to get the card 6 weeks prior to receipt of the camera. This is the problem with Amazon not stocking the card in their own warehouse and making me buy from a third party vendor. The probable good quality of this product is diluted by the hassle to get the item more conveniently. And, Amazon sends me an email weekly begging me to "review" this product that I can't review because they haven't shipped my camera! So Amazon needs to check what they're doing before bugging their customers. I guess this is about all I can think of to say about this. Maybe Amazon won't ask me about it again?
