Customer Review: Good Flash Card for SSD HD Camcorders!

I did the research on flash memory cards from several of the larger companies and read reviews on camcorders. The negativity that people express with "speed" is due to their own fault of not checking all the specs on camcorders. As it stands, Class 10 memory cards are the fastest out there. They are designed specifically for video. A Class 4 or 6 works fine for digitial photos but not video due to the frames per second that can be written to the card. The "read" also allows for quick playback without any shuttering in the video transfer from the memory card to the TV! A new format will be launched with Sony and a few others to "standardize" the industry so all SSD will work interchangably (so I presume). Regardless, when you read reviews on camcorders being slow, take heed that they are likely complaining about the flash memory card being anything less than a Class 10! By the way, a 1280x720p video lasting about 8 minutes consumes 728MB of the memory card. Might want to have a few of these if you are shooting in 1080p (i = interlaced) but regular video in non-HD format will use significantly less memory. Nonetheless, I find that 720p is quite sufficent for almost all video playback needs unless you are a professional.
