Customer Review: compatibility issues

Purchased 14, one for each day for two weeks, for use on sharp XEA-506 cash register.
Turns out it doesn't work in the Sharp cash register. Don't know why.
Formatted in the PC to FAT (16) format. Format appeared to work, and the PC can read and write to it, but it doesn't work in the register.

Attempted to format in the register. It isn't even recognized, and can't read or write to it.
On the plus side, it does work in the digital cameras. I'm sure the 14 cards will be very helpful there some day.
A few days later, purchased San Disk ones & they worked fine in the cash register.
I'm assuming that if the cash register can't recognize or use these cards, there must be something about this card's implementation of the standard that is noticeably different than San Disk's implementation.
We can always blame the cash register, but if you have any doubts about compatibility with your device, you might want to be sure before you buy 14 of them :)
