Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Transcend 16 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card with Card Reader TS16GSDHC6-S5WCustomer Review: I'm glad I bought them Summary: 5 Stars
They work just fine, which is really the important thing!
I was surprised how fast it read/wrote to the computer (even with my non-powered hub, PCI usb card, and feeble old Pentium III). Much, much faster that downloading straight from the camera. (I've even used it to transfer other data -- it's faster than my regular usb memory stick.)
I'm glad I got the 16GB; the 32 is more than twice the price. 16GB in the camera, plus 8GB spare in my pocket, is really all I need for what I do. And I don't panic if I've forgotten to transfer-off my old photos the next time I go out to shoot.
Customer Review: Mine broke in 6 months Summary: 1 Stars
Bottom line, this product crapped out on me within six months. Luckily I had already backed up my baby pictures. What if I hadn't? Baby pictures aren't exactly replaceable.. In fairness to Transcend their tech support has been responsive, but the amount of time I spent running their recovery software and attempting to have them replace this product far exceeds the $40 I paid for the product. Having excessive e-mail correspondence with tech support and filling out on-line applications to get product fixed/replaced is not what anyone has in mind when they buy a memory stick. Stay away from this one folks..
Customer Review: Huge number of photos Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this card to go into a new canon xsi. I had previously used a 2GB card and was using it for sports shots with continuous shooting. I could get two games on the card. When I installed the 16GB card and looked at the number of available shots in standard shooting mode it registered over 4000 shots possible. You could travel for six months and not fill this card. Worth paying the extra to ensure I never run out of space. Also go for class 6, a must for continuous shooting as the transfer rate is really fast. The reader is a nice touch if you are travelling and want to share on a friends computer.
Customer Review: Great card! Summary: 5 Stars
I won't rewrite what tons of others have written here. It is a great card and a great value, especially with the bundled reader. I have purchased four of them, all with the reader, so now I can keep readers at work, at home, in my backpack, etc. If I lose one, no worries.
I've used the card in Canon camorders, Canon cameras, Nikon cameras, and Panasonic cameras. All recognized and immediately worked with the cards without a complaint. I've also used the card and reader on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Again, no failures, no complaints, it just works.
Buy a few!
Customer Review: Great Value Summary: 5 Stars
I was a little skeptical at first. So I order the Transcend 16 GB from Amazon and it worked great in my Cannon HFS100. I liked it so much I ordered another. I also found that I could set the camcorder for continuous pictures and when I held the button down, it would take pictures, what seemed like forever, with no lag time whatsoever. I took about twenty continuous shots without stopping. Don't know if it was the camera or the card, but I had never seen anything like that before. Both cards worked fine and the price was right. Shipping and delivery from Amazon was great with both orders.
