Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Transcend 16 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card with Card Reader TS16GSDHC6-S5WCustomer Review: Unreliable Summary: 1 Stars
The card has problems being read by the Leica DLux-4 camera right out of the box. There is either a message saying memory can't be read or memory card is full. After several tries eventually it can be read and used. However, because of this unreliability it cant be used for anything important (which means it is not worth putting in the camera!). Since the camera delivery was delayed the return period expired and I threw away the external packaging long time ago. So this was a waste of money.Transcend 16 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS16GSDHC6E [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]
Customer Review: The card reader died after a week Summary: 1 Stars
I have four 8GB and two 16GB cards and they are great. I love the transcend SDHC cards!!
The card reader on the other hand is a POS. It died within a week. The light doesn't come on any longer. None of my computers will mount the device any longer and it does not matter what memory card I insert into the reader.
I have already completed the RMA request to return it and get my money back. It is a shame because I will have to return the perfectly good card (package deal) and purchase another 16GB card and a decent reader. Thank goodness I still have my iogear card reader that works great. I wanted a spare so one could stay in my camera bag.
Customer Review: Great for my Canon XSi Summary: 5 Stars
This card is a great alternative to fumbling around with different sized cards. I just wanted this ONE to deal with so I decided to get this 16gb sized one. For example, I've already taken about 300+ pictures and I am still able to take over 2500+ pictures left on the card. I don't have to worry about it getting full right away or having to deal with downloading often if I don't want to.
It's fast enough for taking pictures on my Canon Rebel XSi DSLR camera. (I've had no "delays".) It's also decent when using the card reader for downloading onto my laptop. (I don't shoot RAW so I can't comment on that.)
It was well worth saving up for it.
Customer Review: A Good Combo Summary: 4 Stars
I own two Eee PC's (701 & 1000), a Nikon Coolpix, and a Cowon D2, so SD cards have become somewhat of a necessity to me. This card ended up in my Cowon D2 mp3 player, but it works fine among all the items I mentioned. The reader that is bundled with it was the added bonus because on occasion I've needed to transfer data from my SDHC cards to other PC's.
Pros:
Nice storage capacity.
USB card reader is a great accessory.
Good value.
Cons:
Still could have been faster.
Faster? Yes. I won't be happy until SD cards read and write as fast as my external USB HD.
Otherwise, I do recommend this product.
Customer Review: Great card and reader Summary: 5 Stars
Upon buying a new dSLR camera, I found that my old card reader couldn't open new high capacity SD cards. Buying a card and reader combination seemed like the best solution.
Pros: - Both card and work fine, with no problems reading any card.
- The card reader has a nice, bright orange light in it to show you when a card is installed, and when it's reading/writing
- Even when shooting in RAW mode, 16 GB holds a *lot* of pictures!
Cons: - The price seems to fluctuate on these things all the time, so shop around
- Sadly, having a great card and camera have not made me any better of a photographer...Oh Well!
