Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Transcend 16 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS16GSDHC6ECustomer Review: Excellent SDHC Card at Unbeatable Price Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this card to use in my MP3 player (one of the Insignia models from Best Buy). Having bought into the Sandisk hype for years, I decided the substantially lower cost of the Transcend made it worth a try. It works great and the class 6 speed is very fast compared to slower cards. The lifetime warranty can't be beat.
I've used it for 6 months with no issues at all. I'm so impressed that I'm buying another to upgrade the smaller 2Gb card in my wife's Nikon D40. The price on this card fluctuates, so with a little patience you can get it less than $20 (Fall 08).
As others have commented, please note that this card is a high capacity (SDHC) card. It is not compatible with every SD device in existence. Do your homework before you buy to make sure your device and/or card reader works with SDHC cards. Don't assume!
Bottom line: Highly recommended for devices that accept SDHC cards.
Customer Review: Don't try to buy one of these on eBay! You might also need Summary: 5 Stars
First, the card works great. I used it to capture HD video and zero problems.
I was ready to buy one on eBay, from China for a third of the price. I questioned how the price could be so much lower so I looked at the feedback. The seller had 1000's of FB reviews and over 98% positive. But I noticed the negative FB reviews were virtually all for 16 and 32 Gig SDHC cards. The complaint was that the cards provided less than 8 gigs of storage and the speed of the card wouldn't allow smooth video recordings.
Google: 16 Gig SDHC problems You'll find a LOT of unhappy people that bought junk cards
OH, one last thing. My 5 year old computer and 6-way card reader would not recognize this card. Turns out while the SDHC card looks the same as an SD card it's technically very different. So if you've got an older computer you may need an sdhc to USB adapter like this:

Customer Review: Lost Memories Summary: 1 Stars
I normally don't write reviews, but I was looking for a new SDHC card and this card came up first in my Amazon search and I remembered the horrors. I brought this along with my Nikon D90. It worked fine at first, then one not so good evening on the last day of my 3 week long family vacation in Asia trekking thru 6 countries and 9 cities, it just stopped working, camera can't read it, computer can't read it, and all pictures that were there were lost. The only pics left from our trip was on the little point and shoot I brought along. I guess what they say is true, you don't need pictures just memories...
Upon my return, I called Transcend and all they can offer is a RMA for replacement. I sent them the replacement via USPS and was told they never recieved it. I should of paid the extra buck for USPS tracking but after losing all the pictures I didn't really care for this card anymore.
Be careful !!!
Customer Review: Wow! Great little card Summary: 5 Stars
I bought two for a recent trip to Kennedy Space Center. With my Nikon D90, I had set to JPEG high and RAW, I took a few hundred pictures, and about an hours worth of video. I was thinking that the card probably couldn't handle much more, but every time I looked, the camera reported that I could put two - three hundred more pictures on it.
It is a very quick memory card, the D90 didn't have any problem writing to it and keeping up with my snapping pictures at a brutal pace. The D90 has a small internal memory that can hold a few pictures at a time. On my old card, I always have had problems waiting to catch up to writing to the card. Not with this one, I never saw the queue go below 6 pictures I could take. I am very pleased with it, and I would suggest purchase for anyone. And get the frustration free version! A rip of some cardboard, and you have your card and documentation! No stupid plastic stuff!
Customer Review: Saving my data Summary: 5 Stars
In these modern times, computers with windows & hard drives are wonderous miracles, but some of our computers crash, & since these little memory chips can remember for at least ten years, we can now save our favorite little programs, & data, that could be easily lost.
If we overload our computer & we must do recovery, that will only erase the C drive, and the memory chip is safe from recovery.
Cd's are also great for saving files, if kept in a safe place, but a scratch may destroy what you were saving.
If your computer has a place for memory chips, then great, but many have a USB port, you can get a card reader, & begin to save anything that you dont want to loose, on a little memory chip like this one.
This 8 GB Transend, was reasonably priced. They are not only good for pictures, but data also, & you have no problem to edit any files that you wish.
