I just love TDK recordables. I've been burning DVDs for I guess 6 or 7 years now, and I have yet to EVER have a TDK come out bad. On average, I burn about 50-60 DVDs per month. The DVD burners I use can read/write both +r and -r.
Sometimes I will be out shopping and see another brand on a special sale (mostly memorex) and I buy it, but it never seems to fail that several of them will end up being coasters!
So whenever possible, I stick with TDK and purchase either the +r or -r depending on which is lower in price at the time, and always in the 100 packs.

I have personally been backing up my movies collection and burning them to discs as DVD data discs so I can save them as .avi files, allowing me to put like 5 movies on one disc. I have never had a problem with the first 50 discs I burned onto which were Sony and Maxell...I bought these discs thinking I could save a little money and instead I find out that the only thing that will read these discs now is my XBOX 360...My own computer can't even read these discs properly. Find these to work like a charm with HP DVD burner for copying movies, never a coaster either, (HP DVD writer 300E) or when I record off cable with my Sony RDR-GX330. Great price and nice thing is I do not have to make the drive 20 miles round trip to the mall, find a parking space and sometimes be told sorry out of stock, plus have not had anyone that I have given a DVD to say it did not play in their player, so not trip to the mall, save $4.00 on gas plus about $5.00 cheaper than in store price, how can you loose, it would appear to be a no brainier..Customer Review: Best Buy

Although they are manufactured by CMC, which has a poor reputation with some folks, these are the finest 16x blank DVDs I have found for the price at Amazon. I paid $39.99 for 100 with free shipping, and have burned almost 100 with zero defects. The light gray top surface leaves as much room as possible for writing on with a marker, too (Imation DVDs, also made by CMC, are terrible in this respect, and no other brand I have tried is as good). Every disc on this spindle burned at a maximum speed of 4X. This was the case on two different burners made by two different manufacturers, one of which was a TDK burner. It was also true using different software burning programs. I've never experienced this problem with any other DVD after many years of using many different brands, including TDK. If you're looking for a 4X disc, these are probably fine. I had no problems burning at low speeds, but the packaging and product descriptions were, for me, inexplicably inaccurate and frustrating.
