Customer Review: TAO keychain was defective right out of the box.

I ordered this TAO keychain for a Christmas gift. The unit is very attractive (polished) and is the perfect size. The software program is very easy to use. I quickly loaded 30 pictures of my son and nephew for my mother-in-law. Unfortunately, when I unplugged the unit from the USB cable it simply turned off and wouldn't come back on. I then plugged it into the supplied ac adapter and the unit came on, but was very dim and had a slightly red-purple haze to it. This is strange because when you first plug it in, either into the computer or the wall, the screen is very bright and shows "TAO" in blue on a white background (for about a second). Then it goes dim, but does show all the pictures I loaded (again, very dimly and with a purplish-red hue). I waited 1.5 hrs and unplugged it. No battery power. I tried letting it charge overnight and had the same result. Bummer. Well, it is going back to Amazon. I'm sure they are becoming weary of these keychains. Great idea wrapped in a beautiful package, but doesn't go as well as it shows. Quality control is lacking in this Chinese manufacturer's product.
