These USB Keypads (we ordered two of them) are exactly what we needed for two of our laptop computers that lacked keyboard number pads. Both work exactly as expected and the addition of the offset "Space" key makes it much better than a standard USB keypad.
The keys are normal sized (except for the "Space Bar", obviously) and have a "positive" feel when pressed. The Space Bar button is conveniently place for right-handed folks to press with their thumb, but being left-handed it took me a little time to get used to pressing the Space Bar with my pinky-finger.
The addition of the Space Bar makes the shape a little odd, but the unit is still small and thin enough to easily fit in accessory pocket of my laptop case.
While I mostly use this for data entry and finances, my son and wife use it to play games on the laptop that use a number pad for controlling characters (like our favorite Sid Meier's Pirates!).
I'm not sure how much abuse this will take over time since it is fairly lightweight, but it works well enough and is relatively inexpensive, so we would likely buy the same model to replace it if needed.
