Customer Review: Poor Quality, Bad Color, Didn't Last

I purchased this for my 5 yr. old daughter one month ago. She was thrilled to have her own camera. It was fairly user friendly and she loved that she could take pictures, even though they were horrible to look at on the display.
The camera has many problems. The display is horrible, really poor quality and a bluish tint to everything. The delay when pushing the button to take a photo is too long and often she is moving the camera at the time the photo is actually shot.
The quality of photos is only good if taken outside with even lighting and good colors. The majority of photos are out of focus and horrible color.
The software that came with it was difficult to load and I ended up just transferring photos by taking out the memory card (that I supplied).
After one month of use, it locked up on the introductory display screen. It wouldn't turn off. So we let it run the battery down and tried again. Same problem.
The good things about this camera: it has a built in flash that is moderate. It has a rechargeable battery that charges through a USB port. It is cute to look at. That's about all I can say on the good side.
I should have known better than to buy a "kids" camera. You get what you pay for.

my daughter loves this camera though
picked it up for $20 at local ritzcamera going out of business sale

I bought this camera for my daughter she is very happy with it , she is in 6 years old , and i cerebration to buy an other one for here because it was stolen in here school in sport day .

My daughter, 9, got this camera as a christmas gift. She was so excited and wanted to try it out right away. We followed the instructions and charged it through the USB port on the computer, not convenient. When we turned the camera on the Hello Kitty Logo came up and then the screen went black. The camera would not take pictures, the menue would not come up, and we could not turn the item off, it simple locked up. We have tried to reset the camera and every suggestion the company (Spectra) gave us. I have a verry disappointed little girl. This is a piece of JUNK! Do noy buy it!
