Protects the screen and actually provides some protection from accidental dropping or banging. I find that the extra insert meant for he 80GB version makes the 120 fit more tightly and without it it moves around a little too much. Depending on where you sit on a plane the front protective cover can provide a little extra glare when watching video but it easily removes and re-inserts. Overall I think this is the best and most versitile protection I've come accross for the classis.Customer Review: Makes ipod bulky

I use this case for an 160gb ipod, a love the case overall however you need to put an extra plastic piece behind the ipod for it to fit, if you have a 120gb ipod wich are a little bigger you wont need it, but it would have nice to have the choice to buy two different sizes depending on the ipod you own, because my small 160gb ipod looks like the big one.
Besides that everything else its great about this case, great durability would buy again and definitely recommend.

Simple, tough protection for your IPod. Textured rubber on the back and sides, and a hard clear plastic cover for the front (leaving access to the controls of course). The rubber is thick and will protect against bumps and dings, and just might save your IPod from a bad drop.
The only downside is that the rubber is of the soft - tacky sort, that sticks to everything and everything sticks to it. A mild annoyance worth enduring for the protection it provides

This case is definitely rugged. The only thing I don't like is the black rubber part doesn't fit tight to the clear plastic piece. The corners are tight, but especially along the long sides of the Ipod it doesn't fit snugly. It's not what I'd call loose, but it's just not as snug as at the corners. I was initially concerned about these loose areas snagging on my coat pockets, etc. but they don't at all. It's really more of a cosmetic thing than a performance thing.Customer Review: Should Do the Trick

I dropped my iPod on a hard tile floor. It broke the plastic case I had bought for it. The case had protected it, but, since it was hard, it hadn't been able to absorb much of the shock. I'm expecting this to absorb more of the shock. It doesn't look quite as cool as my reflective case, but it looks good. And, my reflective case will actually fit inside this case pretty well if I leave out the clear cover that comes with the this case.
