I purchased this with my new 7g 160gig Ipod classic. I was not sure at the time if it would fit. The information was unclear and I ended up doing a lot of research for the sizing because I did not want to deal with returns. Well it does fit. The package includes a extra rubber spacer that it says is for the 80g Ipod classic. The spacer works for the 7g as well. It makes a snug fit and the ports are centered over the holes in the case. I am not sure how long it will last as this is the first day I've had it. Just wanted to let others know it will fit the new model.Customer Review: best case I've found

I will admit that there may be better units, but this has to be among the best. I love my ipod and I want to keep it in top shape. I am a heavy user. I have purchased thinner silicon covers, but they are cheap and don't do much to protect the ipod. This case is heavy duty with a substantial clear plastic cover with a good beveled opening for the dial. I am sick of having to cut off those thin membranes that covers the dial and make it hard to operate. This one is a winner and I suspect will last me for years. This is an good case for the ipod classic, but the clear protective screen scratches easily, and it does not have a belt clip on it. It is very chunky, but easy to grip or grab onto. This particular Speck case is ok for gym use only if you have a pocket to place it into. If Speck could put a belt clip on this one, or put this one on a necklace, I would have rated it excellent. I can only give it 4 stars. Overall, it does protect the ipod, looks great, and the price was reasonable. The only complaint is its just a little inconvienent to carry if you are on the go.Customer Review: Great Product!!

Its my little armed body gaurd for my ipod!! This case is bullet proof! its got a great grip to it so when you pull it out of your pocket you feel really confident its not gonna drop, the plastic screen will eventually scratch up a bit, but thats what its there for, to protect the ipod from scratches! You can still see the screen with crystal clear vision even with a lil scuffs, it jumps in front of lil tiny bullets to save your ipod screen! iv'e only had this case for a few weeks, but it seems like it's gonna last. because of the hard drive in the ipod classic, i wandted something that would keep it from getting jared around and cushin any falls. i also cook at a couple of resturants and wanted to protect my investment as i bring to work. i feel that this is the best case for what i need. i paid $250 for my ipod, so i figure i could spend about $30 (after shipping) to keep it safe. it's like i have a tire around my ipod classic.
