Customer Review: Awesome iPod speakers
Summary: 5 Stars

The iHome iH5 clock radio for the iPod, is amazing. I got one for Christmas and recommended to it to a close friend who decided to purchase it. Mine was $300.00 and my friend's was $68.48. My mother is a liar. I AM NOT SORRY MOMMY, I am very disappointed in you and also Santa Claus who only got me a pair of socks and this iHome for Christmas this year. I am very spoiled and what I wanted for Christmas was a pink razr, socks, my own apartment and some cologne. Anywhosees, BUY THIS PRODUCT AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY IN ME AND MY FRIEND who wanted to beroommates this Christmas this year. If we get our apartment you are welcome to come. My friend also wrote a review it says that she thought it was crystal clear and I agree. Our adress is 55 Mikewakowski Lane.

Customer Review: Not Bad For The Price
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought one of these for my office because I really didn't want a $400+ unit on my desk unsupervised at nights. The sound is pretty good for the dollars invested and it works well aesthetically. I had to replace my first one because the iPod connector malfunctioned and I didn't want to go through the hassle and expense of sending it back for repair. The second one I picked up is fine except that after a couple of weeks the volume control became temperamental. It will go from very soft to loud at just a touch of the control wheel. I just leave it set at one volume and the problem is solved. It could be argued that I could have had a pretty nice JBL or other brand name unit with the dollars that I paid for the original and replacement. Oh well.

Customer Review: Great All Around
Summary: 5 Stars

PooPoo on the people who rated this clock so low...I love mine! Between the digital radio tuner, auxilary channel, and all the port adapters to fit any and all ipods, I am beside myself. I got mine for my birthday, as well as the black remote, which unfortunately you have to order from the iHome website, though shipping is free, and couldn't be happier. The backup battery is also a God-send, as we lose power in my neighborhood all the time, so I am not concerned about my alarm not going off. I guess the best part of the clock is that I don't have to leave my nano connected to my computer overnight to charge the battery, but rather just place it in the clock radio so that I can wake up to whatever song I was listening to the previous night.

Customer Review: worked for a few months
Summary: 2 Stars

This clock was pretty well conceived in design, with a few quirks. It will charge your iPod until it is full, then stop charging. If you leave it for a couple of days, the iPod battery is dead. The buttons have gradually become unresponsive, forcing you to push them until you find their "sweet spot" in order to function. The dial controls for the time setting and volume also seem to have deteriorated over the last few months, requiring a lot of patience when attempting to set the alarm, clockwise turning advances the time forward until you almost reach your setting, then "boom" it starts turning backward..very frustrating. The clock worked for the first few months and then these problems started. Now I'm looking for a new clock radio.

Customer Review: If I knew then what I know now!!
Summary: 3 Stars

First of all...the sound quality is great and I love the whole concept of waking to your favorite song. That being said....the gradual wake up alarm is a joke. It goes from a level 0...no sound to level 19..loud, in less than 30 seconds. If you're like me and like to gradually wake up to music...don't buy it. The buzzer is also really loud. The display is overly bright even at the lowest setting. I just saw that Sharper Image is coming out with their own version and also includes a sound soother system...over 20 sounds to choose from. I think I might check it out. When I talked to the manager at the I Pod store he said they had numerous complaints about the alarm volumne level. Why don't they just say it's a mistake and fix it??
