It's great for the price and I thought the sound quality was fine. The decorative pink side ights are very (very) bright. It lights up the entire room at night. I gave this as a gift and would have ordered the insert if it had been presented in a manner that I would have caught. I bought this for my pre-teen daughter. She flipped over it. I can't beLieve the sound this little thing puts out. And the mini juke-box appearance is irresistable. This device is simply "ok." It lacks a lot of features found on better iPod alarm clocks. My daughter wanted something simple and loved the pink color, so I bought it for her. Works well for what it does. Sound quality is fairly bland.
