Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Mini Pestchaser Electronic Rodent Repellers 4-PakCustomer Review: I must have ultrasonic hearing! Summary: 1 Stars
If they are ultrasonic, then why can I hear them? I have had them plugged in for about a month now. I was very happy to think they were working until I saw a mouse come out and stand right in front of it. My hopes were shattered at that point. I had an exterminator in the apartment and he swore these were a waste of money. I thought he was maybe saying that because they DO work and he wouldn't get the business if everyone started using them. But he was right. I was sitting on my couch and a mouse came out from under our stairs and literally stopped right below the outlet (where the ultrasonic repeller is), hugged up against the wall, and scurried his way down the wall underneath a second ultrasound repeller and went into another crack underneath a radiator. I give up mice! You win! Remote is on the table and beer is in the fridge! Help yourself.
Customer Review: Seems to work... Summary: 4 Stars
The name "MINI Pest Chaser" certainly fits.
When they arrived they were much smaller than I thought
BUT seem to work. I have a 102 yr old house and there's probably rodent entry ways that I can't see and don't know about. All the obvious ones were addressed. Anyway I decided to buy the mini pest chasers because I wanted to create an atmosphere so unfriendly, that any rodents would just leave and find a home else where. Killing with traps was a dead LAST resort for me. I hate to kill if there is an alternative. So the pest chasers arrived and looked much smaller than I thought they would BUT they truly seem to work. I made it clear that the message in this house was to GET OUT while you still can. Seems to have worked.
As always, THANKS for reading my reviews and be well. The WebbMan
Customer Review: Trapping Goes Up When You USe The Product! Summary: 5 Stars
Its easy to misunderstand the application of ultrasound. Trapping ratios actually go up when you put these units in. This is because the sound creates a great deal of auditory stress on the rodents. So they get confused and cannot fool the traps, etc.I too had mice which I thought were gone. But they were only out of sight. Acutally they had nested below. I lived in a trailer. When I put the units in, I was able to trap out the existing population. Having the units in place prevented new rodents coming in and taking up residency. So plugging in the units and seeing mice in the traps MEANS IT IS WORKING!!!!! Read the complete directions as the company throughly explains it.
Customer Review: confirmation Summary: 5 Stars
My observation regarding the first 2 reviews is that the 2nd confirms the claims of the first reviewer.
I've had these repellers in every room of my house and garage.
Result: no mice.
I've twice sat in my kitchen and seen mice poke their noses around the corner from a hole under my pantry cupboard, turn around and leave. There is no mouse scat or damage in my pantry.
However, I've continued to have a problem with chipmunks in my gardens and stone walls which neighborhood dogs tear apart trying to reach them. I recently put one near the wall and strawberry bed. The chipmunks have moved out.
I find them very effective.
Customer Review: Terrified of mice! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this item, plugged it in,put a little powder down around the mouse's doorway, and then waited. Petty quickly I saw tracks that indicated the mouse had entered, turned around, and beat a hasty retreat without going further. I've waited a month now and haven't seen or heard anything further of the mouse. I would encourage anyone to buy this product. It got rid of a mouse that wasn't afraid to pass me twice in my own hallway and enter the bathroom when I was in it. Good riddance, thanks to this product. Vicki
