Customer Review: You get what You Pay for.
Summary: 3 Stars

After my pair of shure headphones died, after about 2.5-3 yrs of use, I didn't have the funds at the time to spend 100 bucks on a good pair of head phones this time around, so I opted to get some decently priced Skullcandy in ear head phones.
I had this pair for about 6 months, and I used them about ten hours a week, and the one side is already gone, and I do not even listen to my music loud.
I used them when i worked out, maybe it had something to do with sweat or moisture? But who honestly wants to fiddle with a cord until they get sound in both ears, not me.
Also the volume control on the cord was convenient when I had a song that was of loud quality on my ipod, but if you accidental hit it while moving about the volume could change during your work out, only making it a frustration when both hands are being used holding weights.
All in all if a pair of 30 dollar head phones are going to die every 6 months in 2.5 yrs I would end up spending 150 dollars.I might has well saved up and invested in the more expensive pair at 100 dollars and saved myself 50 bux, and all the trips to the store.

Customer Review: Construction failed too quickly

I was satisfied with the sound quality of these ear buds over others I had tried. Some other buds on the market focus too much on bass, resulting in a sound too muddy for my tastes. However, I have had multiple problems with the integrity of this product.

The first pair of buds I purchased began shorting out in the left ear phone after only a couple months of use. I use these headphones most days at work, but they aren't subjected to any type of extreme abuse. I found this to be unsatisfactory, so I contacted the company directly. They requested I send in my pair for examination and after a couple weeks they replaced my defective headphones with a new pair.

Now, only three months later, I am not faced with a similar problem. In this time I have taken great care to be gentle with the headphones, but once again the left ear is shorting out due to what seems to be a problem with where the cord hooks into the jack.

I do like these ear buds for their quality of sound and comfort, but I am frustrated after having to deal with a product that breaks down too quickly.

Customer Review: Work well until they don't...

So these buds are pretty standard. They fit my ear well, stayed in and all. They come with three different size rubber tips for all ear sizes. Noise isolation is pretty good. I found that I could listen to my music on a noisy bus at a much quieter level than with the standard iPod earbuds, which makes my ears happy.

While they are a good, cheap pair of earbuds, I have several complaints. First, they are very bass heavy. If you're into getting some nicer treble and midrange sound, look elsewhere. Second, the inline volume control is nice, but doesn't offer much resistance to inadvertent volume changes. Be careful not to brush it or you could get an unwanted earful of sound. Finally, I have had two pairs of these buds stop working. The first pair was within a day of purchase, so I took them back and had them replaced. Now my second pair also stopped working a couple days ago, after only maybe 6 months of light use. For shame. If I'm going to spend $25 on a pair of these every 6 months (or less...), I might as well buy a more expensive pair that will last me a while.

Customer Review: Great but not for long 8/

I bought these headphones at Bestbuy because i had so many good things i had heard about SKULLCANDY. when i got them out of the package and plugged them in.....i got goosebumps they fit peerfectly in my ear and the sound quality was fantastic!

I have now had them 2 months and i am very sad to say that they are broken i didnt treat them them like a baby but i also didnt beat the crap out of them AKA average daily abuse the problem that i had with is connection i believe the connection of the wires has come undone and every time i tilt my ipod it cuts out in either the left or right earbud(you never know which one)i ruled out that it was my ipod as i plugged in several different headsets and it was fine again

So all in all these headphones are pretty decent if you just listen to them an hour or 2 every day or if you are going to keep them at the computer(BE DELICATE WITH THEM) so dont wrap them up around your ipod to where it could pull on the wires(thats what i did)but generally i would recommend these earbuds.

Customer Review: Save your money
Summary: 3 Stars

Having been an avid user of Skullcandy for the past year and a half, I was more than eager to try their other headphone/earbud products. This is my first purchase other than the Ink'd earbuds and I have to say save your money and go for the $16 Ink'd earbuds. For me , these earbuds don't cut it. While the Ink'd required you to only turn your volume up to a bare minimum for clear awesome sound, these require you turn your volume up a bit more, even with the volume on the wires turned up all the way. The cable is a bit too long and can easily become snagged on something and ripped out of your ears. The cable is also very thin and more than likely, when caught on something, to rip apart easily. The sound of the Ink'd buds sounds clear and incredible, while on these, the sound presented is pretty generic and nothing special. If you listen to either of these sets, you can totaly tell the difference. I also have the Hesh brand headphones and am going to purchase the Skullcrusher set. I recommend you stick with the cheaper Ink'd buds than these things.
