Customer Review: Great sound, quality so-so...

I decided to fork over the thirty-something bucks for these when they were still fairly new after being completely impressed by the Smokin' earbuds made by Skull Candy. After some moderately heavy use, i found them to be a waste of money for the following reasons:
1. The hard plastic carrying case they came with was handy for a while, but it is very bulky and awkward, so i eventually abandoned it completely.
2. They are NOT good for use during workouts or anything requiring vigorous movement. They will fall out constantly.
3. One of the worst downfalls--the quality of the chord. It is nothing like the INK'D or the Full Metal jacket earbuds. It is NOT flexible, NOT very sturdy, and will NOT last through much wear-and tear. If you bend the chord in any way, it will stay that way, and you'll contantly find yourself trying to straighten out the kinks in the chord. I use mine primarily at work, so running over the chord a few times with my rolling chair caused one bud to completely quit working. I use a phone headset, so even using one side sufficed for a while, but that eventually gave out too.
That being said, there are plenty of good things to be said about them as well...
1. The first thing that drew me in was the volume control function on the chord. The ability to decrease the volume of my music without searching for my Ipod or the volume control on my PC in seconds is extremely convenient.
2. The sound quality is exactly what i expected from a Skull-Candy product. I am not, by any means, an audio-phile, but they sounded great. I listen to a little of everything, and i was completely satisfied with the sound on every genre of music possible.
3. I find ear-buds hard to deal with sometimes because i have small ears, but these were completely comfortable and will stay in forever, as long as your movement is somewhat limited.
Sooo...even though the price of these buds has gone down considerably, i recommend saving a few bucks and buying the INK'D buds. My pair sounds just as good, and has lasted me forever, even through endless abuse. If you insist on shelling out a few extra bucks for the about the same sound quality, go for the Full Metal Jacket buds. They sound great, are just as durable as the INK'D, and also come with a small zippered carrying case. They also look pretty cool...
