Customer Review: Great While They Last

I have owned two pairs of these earbuds. The sound quality is great and they fit comfortably in my ears. My first pair lasted me over a year before the wiring started to cut out. I figured this was reasonable considering what I paid for them, and invested another $15 in a new pair. However, my current pair only lasted about six months before the wiring started to cut out again. So I guess it just depends on how much life you expect to get out of your earbuds for the price you're paying. I would have liked my current pair to last at least a few more months. I might switch brands and see if I can find something a bit more durable.
I give them about 3.5 stars.

Bought a black pair for my 20 something son at Christmas and he loved them for use with his workout. I decided to get this pair for myself and they are great for use at the gym. They play loud music at the gym and these earbuds blockout this outside music really well. The 3 different earpieces are great allowing me to find the perfect size to fit in my ears. I also like the cord because it untangles quite easily though it rarely gets tangled. I can't really comment on the sound quality for music as I use it to study a foreign language. For my purposes I can easily understand all that is being said on my language mp3's without turning the volume up too high.Customer Review: Unexpected...

I ordered the purple ear-buds but received the pink ones. The purple was cheaper than the pink ones but now the pink ones are cheaper than the purple... I'm not that upset because I wanted pink ones but if I ordered it a day later, I would have saved a buck. Anyway, these ear-buds aren't that great. They hurt in my ear after a little while and you can hear ruffles if you play with the strings...they are VERY sensitive to movement! The only good thing about this item is that the sound quality isn't bad. They remind me of noise cancelling headphones (but not that great, of course). When you use them, the thing you're listening to blocks everything else out.Customer Review: Broke Every Time

This is a terrible brand of headphones. The first pair I bought broke, the end of the earbud disappeared while I was taking a walk. When I returned to (to Fry's where I bought it) they gave me a new set, the exact same brand and color. That pair lasted about two weeks. Just last night I took my ipod (with the headphones connected) and was shocked to find that almost the entire earbud was missing. The wires were severed.
The quality of this product is horrible and it doesn't last long at all. Not worth this price! However, I have to admit that the sound is great and they were the most comfortable pair of earbuds that I've ever used.

Skull Candy headphones are overrated... I bought this thinking it would be a wise investment; however, after 4 months of using these headphones, they started to malfunction. I can only hear from one side of the headphones now. You can buy a better pair of headphones for a cheaper or same price. Also, I'm not sure what the wiring is made of, but when you are listening to music, if you hit the wire or rub against it, etc, that sound is amplified in the headphones while you are listening. You can hear every "rub" while you listen to music, which isn't THAT big of a deal as you get used to it, but thought it would be worth mentioning.
