Customer Review: Feels like putting your head against a desk.

Unless you plan to listen to stay absolutely still, these headphones are absolute poo-poo. The fact that they fit inside your ear means they create a highly efficient channel by which every vibration or bump on the headphone cord, mp3 device, even jaw movement gets transmitted to your eardrums. When the music stopped playing, I could hear myself breathing.
Also, the in-ear pads are made of a cheap flimsy plastic and pop out. The medium and large plastic pieces don't even come close to fitting inside. I know I have aesthetically small ears, but I can still wear Hear-O's and off-the-shelf earplugs. Who on Earth has ear canal openings that are that big to be able to fit the large? They also give my ears a sort of weird after-feeling.
The sound is not bad for low-priced, tiny earphones but it's definitely not anything that even remotely isolates sound, not when you can hear the cord moving and your hair brushing against the ear bud.
I only bought them because Circuit City was going kaputt, but even then I think it was a waste of money. Even the $9 JVC Gumy earphones that I use for the gym fit better and I should've gotten those instead for half the price of these.

These earplugs give awesome sound and, so far, seem quite comfortable! I am pleasantly surprised, as I didnt want to spend alot of money just to replace my Apple earbuds with something more comfy for the office. These are great, and the sound is definitely much better than what I get with the Apple buds and better than the Sonys as well.
Bass is prominent without being overwhelming. I love bass but not when it overwhelms the rest of the spectrum. These are perfect.
My only complaint is that I can't tell which is "right" and "left", no matter how hard I looked (where is the marking???!)- so I had to experiment and finally determined which is which, and I marked the wire with a pen so that I can tell. So this is really the ONLY reason for the 4 star instead of 5.
I got the pink, as the white/gray ones seemed rather bland looking, and they didnt have black at the Target store I went to. I like pink, so all is good. ;)
The wire is nice and a bit on the thick side, which I like! They dont look like they are so fragile that they'll break soon. I think these will last quite awhile!

I used these earbuds daily (the outdated white version), with some mild irritation in my canals at times (I listened for long lengths of time- 5+ hours). The smallest silicone covers worked best. I could easily tune out other noise, while still being aware of what was going on around me. They were amazing on a flight- couldn't hear the babies screaming or the loud people behind me. I usually use Bose sound-canceling headphones AND earplugs, but these were great without the bulk. I mostly listen to books on tape and podcasts, the sound quality of the music I listened to was great for me, and I'm moderately picky (no tin/hollowness or overwhelming base). Not sure what an audiophile would think.
Unfortunately, after 6 weeks of daily use, one earbud stopped working and there was no visible exterior damage. They have a "lifetime guarantee," but hopefully I can return them to the store and not try to get my money from the manufacturer.
I'll give them another try because I loved them so much and the price isn't bad-worth the risk. If I get a new pair and they last longer, I'll update.

I like these ear buds. This is the third pair of this brand that I've owned.
Pros: I think outside noise reduction is great. I can walk downtown and have my mp3 player on vol. 2 without being bothered by external noises. I think the ear buds are comfortable and I like that it comes with size options. The small work best for me. Also, I don't feel the need to adjust the ear buds once they are in. I like the colors available and the length of the cord is great.
Cons: They are extremely cheap. I think I've ended up buying a new pair each year over the last 3 years. The ear buds can break pretty easily. Or the cord above the plug can wear down. I've had both happen.
However, I think the pros outweigh the cons. They are really cheap but great for the price. I think they usually last me about a full year. And having to replace them, for me, is not a big deal because it's something I would think about doing anyway. I tend to lose small things like that.

My brother and my boyfriend both requested Skullcandy in-ear headphones for Christmas this year. In need of a new pair myself, I bought an extra pair to keep. I must admit that I'm now a huge fan of these headphones! I couldn't believe the boost in sound quality over my old earbuds - especially in the bass! They are also very comfortable and fit snuggly in both ears. I like that Skullcandy provided three sizes of foam tips because I use a different size for each ear. Some other reviewers have complained about the noise the wire makes. I know what they are talking about, but it has nothing to do with the quality of the wire itself. You can "hear the wire" if you touch it because it is attached to something that is IN YOUR EAR. Also, I personally do not find that the noise is constant or particularly bothersome. Finally, if you're still skeptical, just try them for yourself. You will not easily find a better price anywhere else. They are at least twice as much in stores.
