Customer Review: Falls Apart Quickly

I purchased these headphones December 24, 2008 as a Christmas gift to myself. By February 2009, the white plastic just above the pink headphone attachment had cracked completely all the way through. I literally reached inside my bag and had it come apart in my hand. I went online, filed my warranty report and shipped it off. I received the replacement product (their customer service is admittedly great), but it was shipped to my permanent residence and I was out of the country so I didn't receive them until the end of April 2009. It is now June 30th, 2009 and when I went to put them on this morning the plastic around the center hinge had bent back, and once again the headphones had come apart in my hand. I have had headphones I've purchased literally for 1 dollar at the 99 cent store last longer. The sound was great, but it's not worth the constant replacement cost for what's basically a faulty design. The plastic is frankly cheap, it's too rigid and warps/breaks easily. Before the center hinge snapped I had already noticed a hairline crack along the same edge where they had snapped on the previous pair.
