I used to use the Skullcandy Smoken Buds, but they would make my ears infected. So I need a pair to use around the house to give my ears a little break (I use the buds when I'm out and about). I use these headphones a ton and I like them alot. I guess for the price they charged for them, I was expecting the plastic to be more dense. The headphones are very flimsy, but I baby them so they haven't broken yet. The sound is pretty good but I like the sound of the buds better. It might also be because the buds are directly in my ears and the headphones arent. You be the judge. But the thing I love the most about these is they're great for practicing my instruments with. I'll put them on and play my acoustic guitar or mandolin to a song and I can hear them and the music at the same time. They are also great to practicing my electric guitar or keyboard late in the night when everyone is asleep. So I would recommend these to a musician who just wants to practice, and to someone who's ears don't get along well with in ear headphones.
