I own a pair of Panasonic RP-HT455 Stereo Headphones which I use at home (and sound awesome, by the way), but I also wanted some earbuds that I could use when going out and would sound really good, would not make my head look bigger than it is and, hopefully, cancel outside noise (I take the bus to work).
I read the other reviews here and I definitely have to agree.
There's no need to turn the volume way up 'cause these earbuds are loud. I couldn't believe that such small earphones could carry that much bass without making the treble/highs suffer (don't push the earbuds way in your ears or you'll feel the bass banging and reverberating around your whole craneum. No wonder they're called SKULLcandy). Make no mistake, though: the good thing is that it's loud, but not fuzzy, and they do cancel outside noise. Having said that, the audio definition is not perfect, but it's just that I'm a bit of an audiophile and I've gotten used to the Panasonic headphones mentioned above, which sound almost crystal clear. (Therefore, my 4-star rating.)
I bought these recently, so I can't say anything about durability, though. I paid $25 Canadian dollars, which would be around $15 to $20 US dollars, but for what I got in terms of sound, I definitely cannot complain.
