Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Skullcandy INK'D Earbuds (Dark Grey)

Customer Review: Sound is transmitted along the plastic
Summary: 2 Stars

Although I love the sound produced by these, I can't recommend them at all. The trouble is that the plastic they use to cover the wire transmits every single sound when you move. It sounds like popping and scraping every single time the wires rubs against your clothes. - VERY annoying.

If they had put a rubber or foam grommet where the wires go into to earpiece then these could have been perfect. But they didn't, so now it's impossible to use these when going jogging, cycling etc. I ended up throwing mine away.

Customer Review: INK'D Skullcandy Earbuds
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these a few weeks ago and received them fairly quick. That said, I am extremely impressed with the audio response from these little ear buds! Not to mention that they are also noise canceling which is SO nice. From rap to some good old fashioned Metal these earbuds have shone me what a pair of really good quality ear buds can really do! I also love how nicely they fit in the ear, these are the first pair of in-ear ear buds I've ever liked. Overall, an amazing product with excellent construction as well.

Customer Review: "Squeaky" rubber earbuds carry cable noise
Summary: 2 Stars

For price, sound is really not bad. I compared to earbuds costing 3X and not that much difference.

However, as another reader noted, the latex or the rubber of these earbuds carry more "squeaky" noise whenever there is any movement of your body against the cables. If you touch the cable, or adjust your neck, or look to the side, it sounds like someone is crumpling paper in your ear. There are other brands of the same general design (silencing cuff earbuds) where this is far less noticeable.

Customer Review: A little disapointing
Summary: 2 Stars

Here is the problem with these earbuds, they have the durability of a china dish. you will get about 1-3 months out of them then the left earbud goes out. However when they work right the sound isnt all that great. The hi's are to hi for my preference. However for the price they arent bad i got mine at walmart for about [...]. if you dont minda paying [...] every 1-3 months then get them. However i have found all skullcandy products and alot of other headphones go out within 1-3 months.

Customer Review: Pretty effective
Summary: 3 Stars

The earbuds do work well at blocking out outside interference. I used them on my laptop in a cafe, and could hear the video I was watching, and none of the noise around me, and they couldn't hear my audio either. Definitly a plus. The only drawback, is they do eventually slide out, and you might need to keep pushing them back in your ears repeatedly. But overall, if you're standing still somewhere, they're pretty useful, but would not recommend them for jogging, excercise, etc.
