Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Skullcandy Chops Hanger Earbuds - BlackCustomer Review: Meh, they're ok. Summary: 2 Stars
Well, i bought a pair of these at Target for twenty bucks thinking, Oh, Skullcandy, they make good headphones. Well, just about the only thing good about these headphones is that they stay in REALLY WELL. Not once have they accidentally fallen out of my ear, even when on a treadmill, without being pulled on. Also, the wire seems to be a tad bit more resistant than typical stock buds, i have used these for about 6 months and haven't had a plug failure yet, which is pretty good compared to stock. They're also comfortable, although i can't really count that considering no two people have the exact same size of ear.
Unfortunately, the sound quality sucks. Terribly. The isolation is decent, surprisingly enough for earbuds, but it doesn't really make up for the terrible mids and faint highs. The bass is okay. The construction is poor, sometimes the loop that goes around your ear detaches from the actual earbud.
I should also probably add that i listen almost entirely to metal and rock.
In summary :
Pros
Stays in really well
Resilient wire/plug
Decent isolation
Cons
Terrible sound quality
Poor construction
Overpriced
Terrible sound quality !
These earbuds are better than stock, and you should really only buy these if you need buds that are better than stock and will stay in extremely well. Other than that, go buy some 5$ pair. They'd probably be much better.
