Customer Review: Terrible Quality and Painful!

I've had these Skull Candy ear buds for about 6 months now. One ear bud stopped working completely after a few months of use. But that's not the worst of it: When I run with these plugged into my iPod, these ear buds shock my ears! Like little electric shocks, every 2 minutes or so. It's somewhat painful, mostly just very uncofmortable, and only happens when I'm moving quite a bit. I called the company twice to let them know this happens, because it seems dangerous, and I've never received a response. Terrible customer service. Customer Review: I even gave them a second chance

I bought these as a stocking stuffer for my daughter. They fell apart within a week. I hate to admit it but I thought my daughter must not have taken good care of them because I just couldn't believe how quickly the wire broke off from the plug. We bought another pair of them at the end of March because, quite frankly, they were pretty. It is a month later and they don't work. First one ear bud went sporadically dead then completely dead shortly before the other bud also went straight to being completely dead. During the time they did work, there was some troublesome clicking noise when placing them in the ears and also strange interference noise after a few songs of use. I asked for these for Christmas to replace my Phillips earbuds that have pretty good sound but tend to fall out when I'm working out however, when I put them in I immediately noticed a difference in the sound quality. I notice the bass is really weak and the it makes all kinds of music sound tinny or cheap. I will be returning these and probably sticking with Phillips.Customer Review: ok sound, but not that great

the sound quality is fine, but overall not a comfortable product. the earbuds make a funny metal clicking noise if you press them into your ears, and don't stay in well. i recommend panisonic or sony, not this brand. Customer Review: Unreliable

I bought this product recently and almost instantly disliked it.
My main issue with these earbuds is that they are initially uncomfortable. The sound is not the best it could be, and unless you put the earbuds deep into your ear they will fall out. I had to take them out after about 20 minutes the first time I wore them. After a while you may become more accustomed to them, I found they are best used while riding the metro as they block out most background noise.
Another problem I have run into is that they do not function for very long reliably. After a few months the earbuds One side stopped working and soon both no longer worked. I got a replacement one only to have the same problem much sooner (and I made sure to follow directions in the guide that came with them).
It's an affordable and good looking product, but other than that I would invest in a different style.
