Customer Review: Could have been better.
Summary: 3 Stars

I have used this a few times - mostly while working out at the gym. There is usually little background noise and it is a pretty quiet environment. So far people all say that they can not hear me with the mic clipped to my shirt and I have to hold it directly in front of my mouth. Even then people have a hard time hearing me. So what's the point? I have to take the phone out to have a conversation anyway. In retrospect I would have passed on this one.

Customer Review: 2nd pair now dead and bad quality from mic
Summary: 2 Stars

I love every Shure headphones I have owned including the current one and I thought this would be great but my second pair just died, the mic doesn't work and the control button either. I have had a lot of people complain that they can't really hear me well because the mic picks up every single noise around me. To correct some of the reviews, YES the button does control play/pause, forward (two quick pushes) and previous track (three quick pushes).

Customer Review: Great product
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this for use with my touch pro 2 phone. I own the shure se110 which I used with this product, and the combination is great. The se110s are great because the cord actually disconnects from the headphones. Using the shorter headphone cord and the music adapter gives the perfect length. The mic reaches about chest high, and when I was on calls people didn't have a problem hearing me. I would reccomend this product.

Customer Review: Mic doesn't work, button doesn't control iPod
Summary: 1 Stars

About the only thing I can do with this $40 cable is listen to music. The button answers/ends calls, but the mic doesn't work at all. The button doesn't control the iPod (pause, next song, previous song functions) like the headphones that come with it and other iPhone compatible headphones (i.e. Bang & Olufsen Earset 3) Since my Shure headphones already came with an extension cable, this hunk-a-junk is being returned.

Customer Review: Great While it Works
Summary: 2 Stars

I've had this product for about six months. It worked great, sounded great, and integrated well with my existing Shure headphones. Then the cord began to disintegrate and the sound quality went downhill fast.

I hoped that a $40 cable, designed for a phone, would not fall apart quickly under normal use, but it did. I would only suggest buying this if you are okay with replacing it every six months.
