This case is great. Very sleek and slim. I was between the Shield and the elago cases and I chose the Shield because it wraps slightly more around the sides and the case wraps around all 4 sides of the volume buttons. And to add my 2 cents on the case intefering with the volume buttons...the case does make it slightly harder to adjust the volume, you have to approach more from the back side with your thumb. It'll probably just take a day or 2 to get used, no big deal at all.
The case gets 5 stars for great protection and minimalist design that doesn't detract from the iPhones sleek design.
And no big deal to me since I have a few of my own already, but I didn't get a microfiber cloth included with my case. Maybe my package was just missing it considering the SKU bar code sticker does actually mention the cloth? Just fair warning...

Just got the case yesterday and already I can tell its the best case for the iphone 3G. The case snaps onto the back of the phone and protects all four corners and the back of the phone. The case is lightweight and is really thin and doesn't add any bulk to the phone itself. The texture of the case is a smooth, almost leather like feel, and actually gives you a better grip on the phone than other rubber cases. I carry the phone in my pocket and this case doesn't attract lint like other cases and the case doesn't come off the phone when pulling the phone from your pocket like other cases. You have easy access to the top, bottom , and sides of the phone and you can charge the phone without taking off the case. Overall very happy with this purchase and I've already reccomended the case to my friends.Customer Review: Best In Class

This is exactly what I was looking for. I had a Cozip for my iphone 1G, now I have SHIELD to snug my iPhone 3G. I am a minimalist, and I always look for something that keeps it simple and slim. Not BULKY, easy to apply and take off, and provides protection for the back. This case is definitely the best choice for your iPhone 3G. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. I had my CapsuleRebel but switched to SHIELD. Man, it's the bomb. White one for my girl, black one for me. Polycarbonate surface will not slip out and it has a great feel in hand. I am really satisfied with the quality. It fits snugly yet still lets the iphone show off its bling. 5 stars all the way. I would love to have more colors so I can change it for different situations but I am a little short on dough right now. Buy it, and you will love it.Customer Review: Best Non-conspicuous Case

Best fitting non-conspicuous case. I tried the Elago case initially which is good. However it has an open sided design on the left side (volume & silent controls) that allowed me to unintentionally hit the silent switch on the phone. The Shields left side is fully surrounded on all 4 sides and prevents the accidental switching on of the silent mode. The Shield also has a slightly higher design on the sides that comes up about halfway on the chrome trim without totally covering it. This made for a tighter fit than the Elago. The finishing on the Shield is better as well. It has the rubberized finish on both the outside and inside whereas the Elago is only finished on the outside. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I felt that the cutouts could have been more precise.Customer Review: The Best iPhone 3G case

Prior to purchasing this case I had a silicone case which did the job but had two major problems. 1)Bulky - most people who buy the iPhone appreciate the aesthetics of the design and i feel like many cases mask it. 2) Sticky - good for gripping but very difficult to put into your pocket.
I looked all around amazon and finally decided on the SHIELD.The SHIELD is VERY thin and fits perfectly! I like how it protects most of the metal casing while barely being noticeable. I was initially hesitant to purchase this case because of the circular cutout on the back, but the case is so thin that I hardly notice it. If you are looking to upgrade from a silicone cover or are buying your first cover for the iPhone I strongly recommend this one. It is exactly what I had been looking for!
