Customer Review: Generally pleased
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a good set of headphones. They are large enough to cover larger-than-average ears, but the earcups aren't very deep. They are initially very comfortable, but discomfort of the ear increases with long-term wearing (more than 2 hours). The headphones are light, and are generally good at blocking out surrounding noise.
The controls are easy, but the volume dial should have more fine control at lower levels. In high noise times it's great, but at night when my wife is trying to sleep, I don't need a lot of volume and wish I had better control of lower volume levels. Since the controls are in the back of the headset, if you lie down, don't be surprised if you inadvertantly change volume or balance.
I don't wander a whole lot, but around the house, I'm never out of range. My only complaint is that the signal is occasionally dropped, no matter where you are, or if you're wandering around. Duration may only be a second or two, but it's frequent enough to mention it. For TV and movies, when a second here or there doesn't matter, I love my purchase. But I'm not sure I'd appreciate it so much if I were listening to music.
I've never tried other headsets, or cheaper headsets, so I can't really compare. I think I got a reasonable value for my money. Not unbelievable, but not a rip-off by any means.

Customer Review: Changed my life for a new dad
Summary: 5 Stars

A few items came before this earphone that have had profound impact in my life... items like Gillette Fusion or Oral-B Triumph. This yet is another revolutionary product.

I am a new dad and have a Sony 40" LCD. I decided to get this after watching Resident Evil (to take a break in a mindless reality) with subtitles and 1-bar sound on TV.

Just received this. I held my daughter tonight while watching TV at regular volume with the headset on. She felt asleep soundly on my chest. I screamed miracle inside.

Ok. For the audiophiles, I would say this headset is not as good as Grado r60, but it's definitely amazing for watching tv wirelessly. I can watch tv with the volume completely down (perhaps it's a function of my tv) and the sound is perfect. The range is great. Having owned a Sony first generation wireless headset (back in 1992), this range is better. Although I found the infrared Sony wireless had less hiss when you are standing in the line of sight of the headset.

The convenience of charging the headset on the cradle is ingenious. The headset is also comfortable to wear for a big headed guy :-)

In summary, the combination of sound quality, convenience of hassle-free charging, wireless range, and comfort makes this headset a great buy.

Customer Review: Good sound, annoying beep tone...
Summary: 4 Stars

These sound pretty good, considering they are wireless. Most people won't be able to tell the difference between a wireless vs. wired headphones. If I was mixing audio professionally, I probably wouldn't use these. If I'm watching a movie, or listening to tunes at my computer while I work, these are great.

If you take off and walk away from the base, you'll get crackle and fade. This is kind of a no brainer, I don't see why some reviews make this an issue. If you live next to an airport, a secret military installation, or the SETI array or something... then you'll probably have a lot of background noise...but for most people these are pretty good on the noise/greatness ratio.

Pros
----

-No cords.
-Good sound.

Cons
----

There is this really f***ing annoying "BEEP" tone that happens whenever there is no signal being broadcast. So if you put these on before you click play, you get this annoying, repeated "BEEP" tone. It reminds me of some of those retro games: when you're low on energy the beep was so annoying you'd look for places to kill yourself just so it would stop, the headphones have this whenever there is no broadcast signal.

All things considered, I would recommend these.

Customer Review: Happy that my hubby loved this gift
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my husband since he loves watching sports and he is a TV fanatic....he doesn't like to miss anything. I was skeptical since I hadn't really heard of this brand-but decided to try them anyway since there were so many good reviews on this product versus the others, also I figured if it didn't work out I could return them to amazon. When he got them he seemed excited yet it wasn't til he used them on football Sunday that he expressed how much he liked them. He can go from room to room, and even upstairs into our bedroom and not miss a minute-he says the reception is good anywhere he goes in the house! Best yet he can blast it as loud as he wants(he is a bit hard of hearing in one ear) and it doesn't interfere with what I am watching in the other room like the TV used to. I don't feel like my house is a bachelor pad all weekend when sports are on. The volume is adjustable with a click on the headphones themselves so he can change it whenever he wants. The headphones rest on the charger when not in use so they always have plenty of charge. He says they are super comfortable as well. I really cannot think of any negatives on this product. Some people might be hesitant of the price but it's honestly worth it to pay a bit more for something that really works.

Customer Review: Wish I could find something better
Summary: 1 Stars

I had two of the previous version of these headphones. The previous headphones had two problems; the first was that the material the came in contract with your head captured loose hair and looked very dirty. The other problem was the batteries, they were special and were expensive to replace. These newer headphones solved both of those problems but created more. They seem to not have as good of a range as the previous headphones. They are also larger and have a charger that requires that the headphones be on the base unit in order to charge the battery. With the older headphones you could plug one of the two supplied batteries into the base unit and charge it while using the headphones with the other battery. The previous base/RF transmitter was much smaller and would fit inside my cabinet for the audio equipment, this new one will not. Another major problem is that the controls are easy to move when laying in a recliner or anywhere else you might like to use them. I found an easy solution for this problem. Adjust the controls to a good setting and put electrical tape over them so they cannot move. These may be the best wireless headphones you can find but they are not a convenient to use and don't do a great job.
