I am going my 2nd pair of NC that are non-Bose.
I think 3rd time is a charm and I am going to finally learn my lesson and get the Bose.
I do a lot of air travel so the 2 things I try to look for in a pair of NC are:
1)Compact and easy to store
2)Decent NC to reduce plane noise
I feel the NC part of this works fine.
What bugs me about this pair is the cord that is attached to the battery stick. It gets tangled and trying to pack this in the laptop bag isn't the best. The battery part is just too big and clunky.

I bought these headphones as a lower cost alternative to the Bose. The only reason I give them four stars instead of five is because the Bose would be the obvious five. I think you would be hard pressed to find another noise cancelling headphone in this price range that would compare. I fly frequently and was amazed at this item's noise cancelling ability. I find myself handing them to others to try just to see the look on their face when they flip the switch activating the noise cancelling feature. Overall a great product at a fantastic price.Customer Review: Great for the price

For the price these headphones can't be beat. They block out background noise exceptionally well. My wife has a pair of the Brookstone Soundshield 250 noise cancelling headphones (which by the way are excellent but cost $150.00) and she agrees with me that they do just as good a job. I would give them 5 stars but, the construction is a little flimsy and they have a bit of an odd shape so you have to fiddle with them a little to get them to sit on your head just right. Or maybe I just have an odd shaped head. I would recommend them to anyone.Customer Review: Not satisfied- returned those

tried them one time, the Sound quality not equaled the ones i had earlier, PX-100. Noise cancellation was nominal. The extra noise cancellation peice is hard to carry with other gadgetry. I think they should somehow incorporate it in to the body of the headphone itself. Or at the least give volume/ mute control with it.
they looked like they were folding ones but they are not. I assumed that they folded cos i had the PX 100 which folded.
All in all, had more expectations from senneheiser. I had to return those

These headphones sound great and the noise cancelling works well. If you are expecting headphones that will eliminate all the noise on a plane trip, for example, then these headphones will not do that. For that you really need the big, cushioned headphones that completely cover your ears. I like these because they cut the low drone of the plane's engines and ventilation system and reduce other cabin noises and let you clearly listen to the inflight movies or to music without completely cutting you off to what's going on around you.
